Burn First Aid Home Remedy.
Treating Minor Burns
To treat superficial (minor) burns at home, follow the advice below.
1.Cool skin with running cold or lukewarm water for at least 10 minutes and ideally within 20 minutes of the injury happens. This will prevent the burn worse.
Do not use ice, iced water, creams or greasy substances (such as butter) to relieve the burn.
2.Remove any clothing or jewelry from all over the burn unless they stick to it.
Cover the burn using strips of cling film, rather than wrapping it around a limb. A clean plastic bag is suitable for use for burns on your hand.
3.If the burn is painful to take a mild pain reliever, such as acetaminophen or ibuprofen, can help. But always check the packaging to ensure that you take the correct dose and never give aspirin to children under 16 years.
4.Interfere not burn or break any blisters. If the burn is very painful, or seems to get worse, call NHS 111 or visit your doctor.
